Belarus, Russia narrow differences in gas talks

This week, Vladimir Semashko held talks with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller. “We have narrowed the differences on some issues but still have disagreements on others. I cannot say more for the time being," the ambassador said.

Belarus' budget surplus at Br3.7bn in January-October

Revenues of the central state budget totaled Br20.56 billion or 85.4% of the revised annual target. Proceeds from VAT amounted to Br9.9 billion (85.4% of the target), profit tax – Br3.2 billion (77.1%), excise duties – Br2.3 billion (89.5%). Revenues from foreign trade operations totaled Br3.9 billion (88.3%).

Belarus will take over the presidency in the Eurasian Economic Union in February 2020. The country will have the right to appoint the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission for four years.

Distribution of Eurasian Economic Union's import duties inspected

The inspection demonstrated that the budgets of the five Eurasian Economic Union member states received the equivalent of $12.3 billion in import customs duties in 2018, $0.7 billion up from 2017.
