Belarusian products on display in Mongolia

MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) – A national exposition of Belarus has been arranged as part of the international expo Ulaanbaatar Partnership, which opened in the Mongolian capital on 12 September. Products and services of 15 Belarusian companies and organizations specializing in mechanical engineering, food industry, science, and education are on display as part of the Belarusian exposition, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian tractor maker MTZ presented a number of new tractor models. BelAZ showcases haul trucks. The Dzerzhinsk-based experimental mechanical plant DEMZ demonstrates equipment for home construction. The choice of Belarusian products on display also includes lifts and escalators from Mogilevliftmash and metal-working machine tools from StankoGomel. Five Belarusian universities demonstrate R&D products for civil engineering, agriculture, mechanical engineering, and healthcare. The confectionery factory Spartak offers a choice of chocolate sweets, white chocolate with additives, and chocolate for diabetics. Minsk Sparkling Wines Factory brought grape wines, sparkling wines, and low-alcohol cocktails to the expo.

The business program includes more than ten events and visits to Mongolian manufacturing and trade enterprises, which are interested in cooperation with Belarusian companies. A Belarusian-Mongolian business forum took place on 13 September. Participants of the national exposition discussed cooperation opportunities with representatives of more than 60 Mongolian companies.

The exposition was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with the Education Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom, the Embassy of Belarus in Mongolia, and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to the Belarusian embassy in Mongolia, in H1 2019 Belarus-Mongolia trade totaled $27.1 million. Belarus' exports to Mongolia include haul trucks, construction machines and vehicles, automobile and tractor parts, dairy products, sugar, and medications. The main imports from Mongolia are feldspar and fluorspar.
