MOSCOW, 10 October (BelTA) – Representatives of over 40 countries including all the EAEU countries will attend the 12th Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona, Italy on 24-25 October, President of Conoscere Eurasia Association, Professor Antonio Fallico said at a press conference on 10 October. He is one of the organizers of the forum, BelTA has learned.
Attending the event will be over 1,500 representatives of business. These will be representatives of large businesses and also governments of some countries and integration associations, political figures, diplomats and experts. The main discussion topics are cooperation in energy sector, transport, finance, infrastructure and innovation.
Antonio Fallico highlighted that the forum in Verona is a non-political event. This platform for discussions was initiated by the business sector. According to Antonio Fallico, it is entrepreneurs who are promoting the idea of removing obstacles to effective cooperation between the EU and the EAEU. However, these views have been ignored by the European Commission. “I hope, the new head of the European Commission will be open to the ideas of business,” Antonio Fallico said.
