MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) –The 4th edition of the fourth International B2B Contact Fair Brest 2019 will be held on 11-12 April, BelTA learned from the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).
The event will be held at the athletics arena. The concept of the forum remains the same: to promote dialogue on topical investment issues, to establish and strengthen long-term cooperation in production, trade and services between Belarusian and foreign enterprises and companies, various business sectors and state agencies. The program includes numerous presentations and seminars, and business matchmaking events. The multi-sectoral exhibition showcases the economic potential of Brest and the whole country, most attractive investment projects and start-ups in the region.
High technology will be the highlight of this year's forum. “For quite a long time we have had plans to show the region's IT industry, our innovative potential, and successful software producers. This year we will realize this idea with the help of Brest Technopark. I think this will draw more attention to the event,” Sergey Telezhinsky, deputy director of foreign economic cooperation of the BelCCI Brest branch.
The forum will be co-located with a festival of robotics. Guests and participants of the events will be greeted by collaborative robots, the so-called bots. “They are friendly robotic manipulators that are now used in industries. They are produced by our resident company who joined Brest Technopark in November, a key supplier of manufacturing automation to Belarusian dairy company OAO Savushkin Product. The company will exhibit its robots at the forum as a certain kind of entertainment: they will serve cookies, cups of water, perform other manipulations," Dmitry Makaruk, director of the Brest Technpark said.
According to the organizers, plans are in place to invite more than 500foreign guests for the International B2B Contact Fair Brest 2019: foreign chambers of commerce, business associations, large companies, small and medium-sized businesses. The organizers have already received first confirmations from neighboring countries, and confirmed the interest from business communities from Africa and Latin America.
The event is organized by the Brest Oblast Executive Committee and the Brest branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
