MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – In 2021 IOOO Slavkaliy intends to start hiring personnel to work at the Nezhinsky mining and processing factory, which is under construction in Lyuban District, Minsk Oblast, Slavkaliy representatives told BelTA.
All the personnel will be hired by 2023. The company intends to give jobs to over 1,500 people. In particular, the mining division will need over 600 specialists (mining engineers, technicians, mechanics, electric machinery specialists, and mining surveyors) as well as workers with various specializations (operators of mining machines, timberers, wiremen, drivers of underground vehicles, demolition experts, and other ones). The processing factory will need about 300 people: process engineers, chemical engineers, people to operate conveyor belts, all kinds of machines.
Slavkaliy Deputy Director for Production Igor Kozhich noted that those willing to get a job at the Nezhinsky mining and processing factory will need time to get training from the relevant education institutions and on-the-job training at the enterprise. “Our job is to tell them that in advance,” he added. Outsourcing some specialists is also under consideration.
BelTA reported earlier that in September 2015 Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and the businessman Mikhail Gutseriyev placed a time capsule at the construction site to mark the beginning of the project to build the Nezhinsky potash mining and processing factory using the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit. It will be the second company in Belarus to mine potash ore and make potash fertilizers with the output capacity of up to 2 million tonnes of potassium chloride per annum. As part of the investment project one mining facility will be built in addition to a processing plant, a gas turbine power plant the enterprise will need, railway infrastructure, access roads, housing infrastructure, and other kinds. The construction of the Nezhinsky mining and processing factory began in 2016. IOOO Slavkaliy is in charge of implementing the project.
