The sides exchanged opinions about topical problems of international and regional security. Stanislav Zas and Nikolai Patrushev discussed a broad range of matters of bilateral cooperation and noted positive dynamics in every area.
Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei received the copy of credentials from Head of the European Union's Delegation to Belarus Dirk Schuebel. The parties discussed the state and prospects for the relations between Belarus and the European Union.
Nikolai Patrushev told media after the meeting: “We've talked about matters of strategic security, about the changes going on in international and regional security, how they should be accommodated, what new challenges and threats emerge."
The diplomat noted that Belarus and Vietnam are connected by long-standing friendly relations, which advance vigorously across the board these days. He said that a Belarusian government delegation will visit Vietnam soon. The visit will contribute to further advancement of bilateral cooperation.
In Minsk, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev is set to meet with State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council Stanislav Zas and to take part in the Belarus-Russia inter-agency consultations on security.
