The development and deepening of multifaceted bilateral ties with Russia is an absolute priority of the Belarusian foreign policy, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a ceremony to receive credentials from ambassadors of foreign countries in Minsk on 12 September.

As per rules the next Europe v USA match is supposed to take place in the USA in 2021. However, Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed out that in 2021 the USA will host a world track and field athletics championship and the rules disallow combining the competitions.
