The international festival of youth's creative works and pedagogical innovations titled The Belarusian Arts Cup – The Art Assembly will open at the University of Culture art gallery at the Palace of the Republic on 20 January.

Belarus' Our Children charity campaign raises Br1.3m in donations

Participants of the campaign visited 122 social facilities: residential schools, orphanages, family-type children's homes, children's rehabilitation centers and hospitals. All in all, facilities for children received around Br1.3 million in donations during this year's campaign.

Belarus reduces refugee quotas

Another monument to villages destroyed during Great Patriotic War to be unveiled in Belarus

A memorial to villages and their residents burned during the Great Patriotic War will be unveiled at the site of the burned village of Ola in Svetlogorsk District in 2020. The village of Ola was burned down during a Nazi punitive operation on 14 January 76 years ago.
Belarus approves plan for transition to eco-friendly packaging

A plan of action to gradually reduce the use of polymer packaging and substitute it with eco-friendly packaging was approved by Resolution No. 7 of the Belarusian Council of Ministers on 13 January.

BelTA, Great Patriotic War Museum to launch new joint project

The project is a wide reaching survey of people who went through the war, the fallen and the survivors, those who made the papers and ordinary people. Within the permits of the military censorship, the fighters described various aspects of the war.
Another school retrofitted in Belarus under IBRD-funded project

The school was built in 1970 and underwent an overhaul for the first time. The school has over 600 students. Plans are in place to re-equip four more classrooms in the school – physics, chemistry, biology, and informatics classrooms.
