Over 11,000 explosive threats defused by Belarusian army in 2019

According to the source, mobile bomb disposal teams responded to over 400 requests for neutralizing explosive threats in 2019. Over 11,000 explosive ordnances were detected and destroyed as a result. As many as 28 mobile teams trained by 13 units of the Belarusian army took part in this work.
Belarus to remodel memorial to villages burned during war by June

The unveiling ceremony of the remodeled memorial complex in the village of Borki in Kirovsk District is scheduled for 15 June. The memorial commemorates villages of the region that were burned down during the war.

Minsk metro passenger numbers up by over 10m people in 2019

Minsk metro carried 293,721,000 passengers in 2019, which was up by 10,361,000 over 2018. The Moskovskaya Line was busier and handled over 169.1 million passengers. The Avtozavodskaya Line saw 124.6 million journeys.

Belarus to help fight wildfires in Turkey in 2020

In 2019, two Belarusian crews worked in Turkey, one from 1 June to 1 November and the other from 1 July to 1 November. Plans are in place to sign another agreement this year and to help battle wildfires in Turkey from 1 May till late autumn.
