MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) – The international festival of youth's creative works and pedagogical innovations titled The Belarusian Arts Cup – The Art Assembly will open at the University of Culture art gallery at the Palace of the Republic on 20 January, BelTA learned from the gallery.
The festival brings together the exhibition, competitive and educational programs. The artists and organizations that have applied in due time will get the opportunity to present their works at the University of Culture gallery in Minsk. Besides, they will attend numerous master classes and lectures. The contest program includes painting, graphic design, photography, sculpture, doll design, decorative-applied arts, textile design and digital arts. The award ceremony for the winners will take place on 1 February. The New Faces in Arts catalogue will be published following the festival.
The Belarusian Arts Cup forms part of the World Art Assembly arts project that covers Russia, Belarus, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, China, Latvia and Hungary. The main goal of the festival is to provide gifted kids and teenagers with an opportunity to showcase their talents in arts and display their works to a large audience and professional art teachers and to popularize children's and teenagers' art. The interaction with professionals facilitates the identification and proliferation of innovative methods to develop youth's creative arts with the help of the achievements of modern science and information technology.
The festival is organized by the NextArt Foundation, the Art of the Future producer group and the Horoshaya Stavka company and is patronized by the Moscow Academic Lyceum of Fine Arts at the Russian Academy of Arts, the Russian department of the World Foundation for Arts Initiatives, the Eurasian Art Union and the Art Management section of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.
