The Belarusian team of Anton Smolski, Sergei Bocharnikov, Raman Yaliontau and Mikita Labastau finshed seventh in the Men 4x7.5 km Relay Competition at the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon in Hochfilzen.

2020 IIHF U20 Ice Hockey World Championship Division I completed in Minsk on 15 December. Austria won the event. Latvia and Belarus finished second and third respectively.

The Minsker defeated competitors from Spain, the United States and France. In the quarterfinal Stsiapan Koval saw off Romania's Radu Nitu 15-9. In the next stage the Belarusian lost to Colin Heathcock of Germany 8-15 to secure bronze.
