In the group stage Belarus celebrated a 5-4 win over Portugal and a 8-1 victory over Denmark. Belarus played in a 2-2 draw with Turkey.

The agreement of intent was signed by President of the European Cycling Union (UEC) Rocco Cattaneo and Chairwoman of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Natalia Tsilinskaya in the Marriott Hotel in Minsk on 17 January.
Change of status for EAEU ice hockey players in Russia clubs

Until now, this regulation applied only to Belarusian players in Russian ice hockey championships. Apart from ice hockey, EAEU athletes will gain an equal status with Russians in handball, water polo and ball hockey.

Belarus' Viktar Kryuko 8th in Men 10km Sprint at IBU Cup 5 in Slovakia

Viktar Kryuko showed clean shooting at the two shooting stages and finished the sprint +38.6 seconds behind the winner. Russia's Semen Suchilov won the event, completing the 10km race in 23:56.0. Belarus' Yahor Kazarynau finished 16th.

The Belarusian MAZ lost 2:04.42 to the race winner Andrei Karginov from the Russian Kamaz-Master who cleared 12 stages in 46:33.36. Kamaz-Master's Anton Shibalov is second (42:26 behind the winning time).
Polina Golovina appointed Belarusian NOC secretary general

Polina Golovina's candidacy was put forward by the head of state, President of the National Olympic Committee Aleksandr Lukashenko. George Katulin served as the secretary general from 2017 to 2019. First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee Viktor Lukashenko said that George Katulin will continue to actively participate in the work of the NOC and share his experience.

Belarusian athletes start returning home from YOG in Lausanne

Ilya Korzun (ice hockey), Maksim Davydouski (alpine skiing), and his coach Aleksandr Nakonechny were welcomed at Minsk National Airport by representatives of the NOC and the Belarusian Sport and Tourism Ministry and their families.

Belarus' Aryna Sabalenka, No.12 on the WTA ranking, suffered an upset in the Adelaide International semifinals as she fell to Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (No.24) 4-6, 6-7 (4-7).
