Nine countries to compete in chess tournament in Orsha

The tournament will draw more than 270 participants from at least nine countries: Belarus, Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, China and Estonia. The organizers are waiting confirmation from Latvia.

Tokyo unveils Olympic ticket designs

The designs are based on the traditional Japanese colors: red, blue, purple (the color of the Japanese wisteria) and green. This color scheme, according to the designers, reflects the overlapping natural colors representative of each of Japan's four seasons. The color coding varies depending on the venue of the competition. The tickets also feature sport pictograms.

Dakar 2020: MAZ places fifth at Stage 11

The hooded MAZ truck piloted by Siarhei Viazovich lost 12:14 to the stage winner Andrei Karginov from the Russian Kamaz-Master who cleared 379km in 4:44.51. Kamaz-Master's Dmitry Sotnikov was second (1:27 behind) and Anton Shibalov came in third lagging 3:25 behind the winning time.
Latvia to facilitate border crossing during 2021 IIHF WC

Latvia will take measures to facilitate border crossing during the 2021 IIHF World Championship, Latvian Prime Minister Krisjanis Karins said at a joint meeting of the Belarusian and Latvian organizing committees for the 2021 IIHF World Championship.

Sabalenka knocks out Halep in Adelaide

The game lasted 1 hour 11 minutes. This major upset over Simona Halep helped the Belarusian to book the clash with Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska (No.24) in the semifinals.

Apart from Varvara Bandaryna, Team 4 included Myrthe de Boer from the Netherlands, Czhechia's Lukas Stekly, and Japan's Yudai Yamamoto. They finished the race in 2:06.80, +2.70 to the time of victorious Team 3.

Belarusian Hanna Sola fourth in Women's 7.5km Sprint in Ruhpolding

The Belarusian finished the race 50.1 seconds behind the winner while not allowing a single miss on two shooting ranges. Norway's Tiril Eckhoff topped the podium with 18:55.5. Silver went to Swedish Hanna Oberg (29.7 seconds behind). Italian Dorothea Virer rounded off the top three with 36.8 seconds behind.

Ice hockey team featuring Belarus' player victorious at YOG in Lausanne

Team Green featuring Belarusian ice hockey player Ilya Korzun won a gold medal in the Men's Mixed NOC 3-on-3 event at the 3rd Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne. In the final Ilya Korzun's Team Green beat Team Red 10-4.

Dakar 2020: MAZ third overall after Stage 10

Stage 10 was supposed to cover 534km but was halted at 233km by strong winds and deteriorating conditions in the Saudi Arabian desert. Master's Anton Shibalov was first as he cleared 233km in 2:12.12. His teammates Dmitry Sotnikov (1:08 behind) and Eduard Nikolyaev third (1:30)
