MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) - The Belarusian Basketball Federation is launching an environmental campaign to reduce the use of plastic, BelTA learned from the press service of the federation.
As part of this project bags and water bottles made of ecospanbond will be given to participants of the Semyon Khalipsky Memorial and the international workshop for women referee Her World, Her Rules.
Both events will be held in Minsk from 15 to 17 November. All in all, about 100 participants of the competition and the workshop will receive bright roomy bags made of the biodegradable, recyclable material as memorable gifts from the Belarusian Basketball Federation. These bags can be used in everyday life instead of plastic bags. The organizers have also prepared special branded bottles for drinking. Players, coaches and competition referees can use them to collect water from coolers, which will significantly reduce the use of disposable plastic containers.
